Sibu Town Square Phase II Public Toilet was again being awarded and this time by the Sarawak Tourism Federation (STF) and the State Ministry of Urban Development and Tourism Sarawak for the Outstanding Contribution to the Tourism Industry Model Toilet (Model Toilet-Concept Category)

Sibu Municipal Council /Sibu Toilet Council won a Bronze award for the Sibu Town Square Phase II Toilet (under "Majlis Perbandaran" category) in the National Quality Toilet Competition 2008.
