In conjunction with the National Toilet Expo & Forum (NATEF) 2008 in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, the National Quality Toilet Awards 2008 was one of the events jointly organized by QRAM (Quality Restroom Association) , KPKT & the Seremban Council and participants are invited from general public, local authorities, government & local authorities including the schools to propose their Toilets for the awards.
Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) propose or submit 3 public toilets at Sibu Gateway, Sibu Town Square Phase (old Lau King Howe Hospital building) and Tanah Mas (SEDC) food court for the awards under the "Majlis Perbandaran" category. Very Fortunate to be shortlisted all the SMC submissions and another good new...... the 1st Model School Toilet ( a project by STC) at SK Perbandaran No. 4 was also shortlisted. Hoping for the best.
Today (5th November,2008) , one judge (Ar. En Hassan) from the National Quality Toilet Awards 2008 came to Sibu for the marking and we (STC) are the guide. Sarikei District Council 's "5 stars" toilet was also shortlisted and Ar. En. Hassan was brought to Sarikei straight from the Sibu airport for the marking of the "5 Stars" public toilet. A very nicely done toilet and lucky that the toilet is under the "Majlis Daerah" category.
Sibu Toilet Council also submitted is this "Blog" under the Electronic Media for the award and wonder if this blog is shortlisted for the awards (?).
